Recovery Is Not For Wimps
Stories From Serenity Place
Our Motto
"Recovery is not for wimps!" -- These words, often uttered by Serenity Place members,
are a statement of conviction.  A declaration of independence from fear, of Willingness
to put in the hard work required to move forward, of Acceptance that we are right where
we need to be right now.
What Is Serenity Place?
Serenity Place is a gathering of individuals who are or have been in a relationship with
a sex addict, which is defined as a person suffering with compulsive sexual behaviors.

"Community - Somewhere there are people to whom we can speak with passion
without having the words catch in our throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will open
to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us whenever we
come into our own power. Community means strength that joins our strength to do the
work that needs to be done. Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing. A circle
of friends. Someplace where we can be free."

Our Mission
To share our stories, our Experience, Strength, and Hope.  On this site, you will find
some tear-jerkers, but stories full of hope and possibilities are in the majority.  You will
find stories from partners who have stayed, and stories from those who have left the
relationship with their sex addicted partners.
